Los Tejanos: Chicano Art from the Cheech Marin Collection is an exhibition of 39 works of art by 14 Texas artists. Featured artists are Jari “Werc” Alvarez, Melesio (Mel) Casas, Carlos Donjuán, Gaspar Enríquez, Jacinto Guevara, Adán Hernández, Benito Huerta, César A. Martínez, Joe Peña, Alex Rubio, Ricardo Ruiz, Marta Sánchez, Vincent Valdez, and Andy A. Villarreal. The artists are contemporary storytellers using their own experiences to interpret symbols and traditions in modern life, yet much of their imagery and subject matter are rooted in historical references. This exhibition was created for the Art Museum of South Texas in Corpus Christi, Texas where it was view during January 11 through April 29, 2018. The companion art book was produced, edited and published by Melissa Richardson Banks of CauseConnect, LLC; and designed by Eva Crawford with artwork photographed by Lisa Mansy and Rush Varela.

Papel Chicano Dos: Works on Paper from the Cheech Marin Collection presented 65 artworks by 24 artists: Carlos Almaraz, Charles “Chaz” Bojórquez, Pablo Andrés Cristi, Carlos Donjuán, Gaspar Enríquez, Sonya Fe, Emmanuel Galvez, Margaret García, Roberto Gil de Montes, CiCi Segura González, Raúl Guerrero, Roberto Gutiérrez, Adán Hernández, Benito Huerta, Leo Limón, Gilbert “Magu” Luján, César A. Martínez, Glugio “Gronk” Nicondra, Wenceslao Quiroz, Frank Romero, Sonia Romero, Ricardo Ruiz, John Valadez, and Vincent Valdez. To date, the exhibition has toured five U.S. museums. The companion art book was produced, edited and published by Melissa Richardson Banks of CauseConnect, LLC; and designed by Eva Crawford with artwork photographed by Lisa Mansy and Ted Meyer of Art Your World.

Chicanitas {size doesn’t matter}: Small Paintings from the Cheech Marin Collection presented 70 works of art at sixteen U.S. museums by 29 Chicano painters: Carlos Almaraz, Elsa Flores Almaraz, Jari “Werc” Alvarez, Carlos Donjuán, Ana Teresa Fernández, Diane Gamboa, Margaret García, Cici Segura González, Yolanda González, Jacinto Guevara, Roberto Gutiérrez, Adán Hernández, Leo Limón, José Lozano, Gilbert “Magu” Luján, Glugio “Gronk” Nicondra, Joe Peña, Sandy Rodríguez, Frank Romero, Sonia Romero, Ricardo Ruiz, Leigh Salgado, Marta Sánchez, Eloy Torrez, John Valadez, Patssi Valdez, Vincent Valdez, Sergio Vásquez, and Jaime “Germs” Zacarias. The companion art book was produced, edited and published by Melissa Richardson Banks of CauseConnect, LLC; and designed by Babet Mordeno and Juan Rodriguez of Kolor Graphics Bureau. Cover art was designed by Tiffany Fairall. Artworks were photographed by Lefteris Photography, Ted Meyer of Art Your World, and Eric Nisly.

Menudo: Chicano Art from the Cheech Marin Collection captured the social, political and religious life of Mexican-Americans. According to Cheech, the term menudo means with “a little of this, a little of that,” which directed the curation of this exhibition, mixing a variety of media and styles. Included were 32 works of art — pastels, drawings, oil and acrylic paintings — by 21 artists: Carlos Almaraz, Charles “Chaz” Bojórquez, Alfredo de Batuc, Gaspar Enríquez, Margaret García, Yolanda Gonzalez, Roberto Gutiérrez, Wayne Alaniz Healy, Adán Hernández, Benito Huerta, Leo Limón, Albert Lopez, César A. Martínez, Glugio “Gronk” Nicondra, Frank Romero, Alex Rubio, Shizu Salamando, Eloy Torrez, John Valadez, Patssi Valdez, and Vincent Valdez.The exhibit was displayed at the Art Museum of South Texas in Corpus Christi, September 17, 2009 to January 3, 2010.

Papel Chicano: Works on Paper from the Cheech Marin Collection featured 39 works on paper – primarily pastels, but also drawings, mixed media, oil, acrylic and gouaches – by 17 artists: Gaspar Enríquez, Margaret García, Raul Guerrero, Roberto Gutiérrez, Wayne Alaniz Healy, Adán Hernández, Leo Limón, Jose Lozano, Jesus “Chuy c/s” Rangel, César A. Martínez, Alex Rubio, Frank Romero, Eloy Torrez, John Valadez, Patssi Valdez, Vincent Valdez, and George Yepes. The exhibition traveled to four U.S. museums. The companion art book was published by La Mano Press; produced and edited by Melissa Richardson Banks of CauseConnect, LLC; and designed by Silvia Capistrano. Artworks were photographed by Ted Meyer of Art Your World.

Siqueiros in Los Angeles: Censorship Defied was an exhibition project spearheaded by the Legacy & Legend team of Luis C. Garza, Melissa Richardson Banks, and Jose Luis Sedano for nearly a decade before partnering with the Autry Museum of the American West. For his three 1932 murals in Los Angeles, David Alfaro Siqueiros explored new techniques and experimented with perspective, all the while inciting a new artistic and political aesthetic that took root in the city, but eventually resulted in his near deportation. This exhibition, which featured more than 100 works and materials drawn from archives across the continent, explored this fertile period in the life and work of one of the most important artists of the twentieth century. It was on view at The Autry during September 24, 2010 through January 9, 2011.
