CauseConnect® has created and taught workshops to nonprofits either independently or on behalf of clients such as the National Arts Project, Center for Cultural Innovation, and InfoPeople since 1999. The firm’s in-house expert Melissa Richardson Banks has also presented on topics related to fundraising, corporate giving, and art marketing at national conferences such as the American Association of Museums, American Libraries Association, and Hispanic PR & Social Marketing Association.
The firm’s popular “Corporate Partnerships: A Two-Way Street” allows companies and causes to take “sponsorship” and “corporate giving” to the next level. In this half-day workshop, participants learn how to create meaningful corporate partnerships based on mutual cooperation and common goals. Attributes of good corporate partnerships are presented, along with resources for success and how to identify a nonprofit’s most marketable assets and ideal prospects.
The firm was retained by the Urban Libraries Council to present an audio-satellite conference to libraries nationwide on how to establish effective corporate partnerships. This subsequently resulted in a series of onsite workshops at libraries throughout California and in Chicago on this topic.
For the Palo Alto City Library, CauseConnect was hired to create and present a coalition-building workshop for volunteers, board and staff in preparation for their capital campaign to renovate and restore their historic Children’s Library.
