Papel Chicano: Works on Paper from the Collection of Cheech Marin

Bold and intense imagery rich in color has long been a trademark of art expressing the Chicano experience. Organized by Melissa Richardson Banks of CauseConnect, “Papel Chicano: Works on Paper from the Cheech Marin Collection” includes 40 works on paper – primarily pastels, but also drawings, mixed media, oil, acrylic and gouaches – from nearly 20 artists. Represented are Gaspar Enriquez, Margaret Garcia, Raul Guerrero, Roberto Gutierrez, Wayne Alaniz Healy, Adan Hernandez, Leo Limon, Jose Lozano, Jesus “Chuy c/s” Rangel, Cesar Martinez, Alex Rubio, Frank Romero, Eloy Torrez, John Valadez, Patssi Valdez, Vincent Valdez, and George Yepes. The full-color art book was published through La Mano Press under the direction of — and with funding raised by — CauseConnect.
