Target Corporation hired CauseConnect to produce a gala for 500 guests in Los Angeles, California to benefit their nonprofit partner, the Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics (LEAP). Dream Big: LEAP 35th Anniversary Celebration took place outdoors on the bricked plaza outside of the Aratani Theatre at the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center in Little Tokyo on Thursday, July 20, 2017 after two months of advance planning and development. The event was aglow throughout with illuminated inflated art decor from AirDD – floating stars, freestanding 5’ lighted wicks, highlighted spheres, and billowy cloud-like walls; dancing Target gobos; lights strung along massive ribbon-wrapped gazebo-style structures, backlights, and spotlights by G2 Audio & Lighting; and lighted bar stations, cocktail tables, and seating by Town & Country Event Rentals. Six food stations uniquely offered an array of Asian cuisines catered by local businesses: Filipino, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and Hawaiian. Red rose topiaries, tabletop white floral arrangements, and balls of flowers designed by Martha Perez were placed throughout the plaza. Musician FUZZZY performed with his band, providing a unique blend of hip hop and funk rhythms with acoustic guitar and soulful vocals. To learn more about LEAP, visit www.leap.org.
