Artisan Village Co-Produced by CauseConnect
As part of LA Weekly’s 3rd annual Artopia festival, CauseConnect co-produced the vibrant Artisan Village at The Container Yard—an industrial-chic venue in Downtown LA’s Arts District. Designed to showcase Los Angeles’ creative pulse, Artopia was a one-night-only immersive celebration of art, performance, music, and local culture.
Working in collaboration with Edgar Varela, CauseConnect curated and managed the Artisan Village experience, spotlighting independent makers and creators. From handcrafted goods to unique fashion and design pieces, the village gave attendees a chance to shop and connect directly with local artisans.
Festival highlights included:
- Pop-up art galleries curated by critic Shana Nys Dambrot, featuring artists like Drew Merritt, Wyatt Mills, Debi Cable and her 3D Art Gallery, Mikael B. Design, Amy Kaps, Marcus Kuiland-Nazario, and Victor Wilde of the Bohemian Society
- Live music by KCRW’s Jeremy Sole and an interactive performance by Mud Baron’s #FlowersOnYourHead
- Cocktails as art, crafted by top mixologists François Vera of Pour Vous and Ben Scott of Harlowe
- Food trucks by L.A. favorites including Grilled Cheese Truck and Kogi BBQ
- Live painting and performance art that turned the venue into a full-sensory playground
With over-the-top creativity and community at its core, Artopia 2015 was a standout moment in LA’s cultural calendar—and CauseConnect was proud to help bring it to life through a dynamic showcase of local artistry and craftsmanship.
